We left Isle of Skye travelling past many lochs .
Loch Loyne was a great picture
and Loch Garry the lookout didn.t allow a good look or photo
Next was Laggan locks and Loch Lochy which continued to Spean Bridge and Fort William .
Not impressed with the Fort William but it does sit on Loch Linnhe which is nice.
We drove out to the Ben Nevis visitors centre which is the starting point if you want to do the 7 hours climb up and down the mountain….. No Thanks!
You cant see Nevis from here so we drove to Brave heart village to see it

Then we drove out to Banavie to Neptunes staircase , 8 lochs in a row. They rise 22 m and take about 1:15 hours.
While we were there we saw the Jacobite steam train go past. It goes from Fort William to Malaig and over the Glen Finnan Viaduct. The train was booked out when we went to book. Back to our accommodation by the Loch.
Day 2
Day trip to Glencoe
A quick look at the town after crossing the bridge over Loch Linnhe
and then out to the visitors centre where we learnt that this area was formed 450 million years ago by fire and ice. The Macdonald clan that lived in this area were mostly wiped out in a massacre on 1692.
We did a 3:5 km walk to see the Glen valley but the drive afterwards we saw more.
However we did get close to a Highland cow
We visited the turf house replica
then drove out the A82 just past glencoe to three lookouts

On our the return to Fort William we stopped at the Ben Nevis Distillery which was booked out , so we shopped and went back to our accommodation.
