Alice Springs and West MacDonnell ranges.

Alice springs

We arrrived in Alice Spring staying 15 kms out of town at the truck museum campground.

While in Alice for three days it was domestic stuff like voting, tyre rebalance and rotation and shopping among other things.

Anzac hill was one stop for a view out to the McDonnell ranges.

We drove out to the west macdonnell ranges, but only visited a few gorges this time.

Simpsons gap

Thoroughly enjoyed see the ranges and landscape quiet green compared to our visit in 2019. Along with great rock formations.

We stayed overnight at a great lookout … Niel Hargrave lookout, the views amazing.

and spent the afternoon going to

Redbank Gorge , John finishing the walk as too many boulders for me to climb.

then to 2 mile campsite for a look and Mt Sonder lookout

and we tempted to call into Helen gorge but in was closed now. Covid !!

We revisited the Ochre pits

The next day we decided to leave this beautiful area as too many flies and when they clocked off the mozzies stared. Also we had done all the other gorges in 2019.
