We pasted through Lameroo and sighted the pretty silos and had morning tea while running the generator to top up the batteries.

Later that day we arrived at Pinnaroo.

A quick walk around the wetlands which was formed in a old railway dam and then parked up opposite the pub for the rest of this freezing cold and windy day. Lunch at the pub and many games of pool John winning all but one, debbie didn’t have her eye in today!

Day3 Pinnaroo to Nandaly

Today is driving across from Pinnaroo SA into Victoria and heading to Nandaly.

On the way we detoured into Boinka state forest at Linga to the pink lakes stopping to walk the 2 kms around Lake Hardy that was a little pink and checked the camp grounds out which where great maybe another time. Three other lakes also there.

Then a look at the painted silos at Walpeup

and then viewed an old Mallee stump at Ouygen thought to be hundreds of years old.

Day 4 Nandaly to Lake Boga

Today was onwards towards Lake Boga.

We stopped at Lake Tyrrell to see Victorias biggest salt lake which is 200 sq m usually dry but currently with water in it.

We walked across the lake from the viewing platform via the board walk 1:8 kms to another boardwalk over the lake.

Then through Sea lake and saw another the painted silo nit so well dine with the girls arms very out of proportion.

and onto Lake Boga parking behind the pub followed by walk by the lake and to view another painted silo .

The rest of the freezing afternoon was spent in the pub.

Day 5/6 Lake Boga to Nyah

We drove around Lake Boga , visited the Catalina Museum. Lake Boga was used in WW2 as a secret inland repair base for the Catalina planes from mid 1942 till after the war.

We camped at Lions reserve having a fire in the early afternoon before the cold sent us inside .

Another day and night at Nyah as the winds were gusting at 75 kph so too dangerous to drive. A inside day.
