We had arrived in Brisbane ahead of our previous planned arrival time. John needed time to write the manual for the new owner after the sale of Anja and i spent the day packing the car for our visit to Port and doing loads of washing.
The following day after the car was booked in for its service it was over to see Sophia Dan and Tina. Gosh how Sophia has grown in 6 weeks and so much more alert and just soooooo cute. What a good baby she is!

On the Saturday we drove back to Port Macquarie without the van passing lots of water logged land after the recent floods
Amazing how the farming land near Kempsey had turned into a sea.

The plan in Port was two nights at Janets and to access our storage to both put stuff in we don’t need and to retrieve things we needed for our trip through Qld.
As usual it was nice to see Janet and Kathy and Joy came around on the Sunday afternoon. A nice catch up.

It was nice to be in Port again and see the usual beaches etc and catch up with friends.
Monday saw Qld lockdown for three days with a cluster of covid so we stayed in Port Macquarie also in locked down as we had been in Greater Brisbane.
We stayed locked down until it was lifted midday Thursday and then it was out to see Friends Gain and Sue
Always lovely to catch up with them and as usual we were chatting for hours. Time always flies by fast when we catch up with them.
Friday night was spent in SWR with my daughter and hubby Jj, we were meant to see them in Brisbane but covid lockdown prevented that.

So happy to see them as we hadn’t seen them for months but hard to see Kriz looking so unwell.
SWR was stunning as usual.
Then back to Brisbane to spend time with the gorgeous Sophia, and Dan and Tina of course.

While here in Brisbane we went to
Mooloolaba to see Johns mate Benny and wife Mélodie. Their unit overlooked the beach so most of the time was spent relaxing and talking on the balcony.
We did go out for breakfast and a walk down the foreshore of the beach.

Back in Brisbane we spent more time visiting Dan Tina and Sophia.
Having lunch out at south bank with Tina and Sophia, another afternoon taking the free ferry around Brisbane river
and another lunchtime with all four of us at Kangaroo Point, overlooking the Brisbane River.

our last day was dedicated to taking our next potential boat our for a water trial. We have been researching what we want for months and our finally choice is made , the Jeanneau 695 series 2. Pick up is at the end of the year.

After nearly three weeks in Brisbane it is time to move on, Our next blog starts in Toowoomba.
