Family time between travel, mid august to mid oct.

We took time out from travelling to look after Johns mum for 8 weeks and this gave us the advantage to catch up with Johns kids and grandkids. We also saw my daughter and her husband a few times as well.

We had a few family days and we also decided to have the grandkids more one on one and have more quality time with them out of there home environment. Below is a summary of these events.

First was Johns and Rubys birthday, only a day apart so celebrated at Amandas together.

Happy Birthday

Our first weekend with the kids was with Ruby and Andrew, we spent the Saturday at the Entrance , took them on some rides, lunch and to the beach. It wasn’t swimming weather but Andy still got wet and sandy, enjoying himself running in and out trying to miss the waves but of course fell flat into one of the waves. They slept over night at Johns mum with us and then we took Irene and the kids to the Wyong milk factory for playtime and milkshakes the next day.

Fun at The Entrance

Next was Lochies turn , and he chose to go hiking and sightseeing in the Watagans. A great choice. Lots of sight seeing and one very hard hike to a waterfall.

We took Ollie to his junior rugby tots playtime then to some parks and Maccas for lunch.

We took Ebony back to Irene’s and her and I spent time painting nails and making bracelets before going out for a drive , playgrounds and icecream.

Ebony’s favourite past time is craft work.

the following day we took her to the Entrance and were joined by Ollie, Amy and Mat.

And then a big family day out with Ruby Andrew, Ollie, Lochie Ebony Ethan and his girlfriend and Amy and Matt at Toronga zoo. A lovely day out. The meerkats voted the favourite of all the animals.

We spent Amandas birthday with lunch at Wyong Milk Factory restaurant, a nice time although the food wasn’t wonderful.

Amanda’s Birthday

And one day we spent the day in Newcastle with Kriztina, my daughter, walking the Anzac walk.
