this trip in red

Our trip started early April 2019 and finished in mid February 2020.
We travelled 31,000 kms with the Caravan doing approx 25,000 kms
The cost of fuel our biggest expense
Toyota landcruiser 200 series never missed a beat, great performance but expensive on fuel, averaged 22 litres /per 100 kms
Our New age van was comfortable except the café seating , it travelled well but needed constant repairs.
Most caravan parks we stayed in varied from $28 to $35 per night
We free camped about 15 percent of the time and mainly when on the move.
WA had the best free camps and facilities
Dinners mostly cooked in the van and most common dish was fish
Lunches were mostly in the van , or sandwiches made for day trips, occasionally eaten out , pies or we shared a burger
Morning teas most days , the thermos filled at breakfast time and we either took it with us or stopped and had it in the van.
we rarely ate out, maybe less than 10% of the time.
The tent was used five times when went on 4 wd or long dirt roads these were areas without the van.
